Zimbabwe Equity Markets | 7 Oct 2015: ZSE Industrial Index lowers, Mining Index drops 1.66%, Market Capitalisation down US$6 Mill….
Harare, Zimbabwe, Capital Markets in Africa — The Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) industrial index traded lower recording losses today losing 0.0021 points to close at 131.50 down 0.16 percent. The ZSE Industrial index year-to-date settled at 19.22 percent.
The market capitalisation ended at US$3,432 billion losing almost US$6 million compared to the US$3.438 billion recorded in the previous session.
The market activity today recorded a turnover of US$1,488 exchanged in 15 traded securities via 13 trade transactions. Two Foreign investor buys were recorded today by Innscor Africa Limited for US$609,775 and Econet Wireless Zimbabwe Limited for US$161,270 while there were foreign buys of US$771,044 and foreign sales recorded US$522,728.
In terms of values and volumes traded among the 7 traded securities, CBZ Holdings Limited totalled US$448,201 exchanged in 4,482,011 traded securities, Innscor Africa Limited recorded 1,100,317 shares with a total value of US$667,672, Econet Wireless Zimbabwe Limited totalled US$177,987 exchanged in 659,945 traded securities, Colcom Holdings Limited recorded 483,480 shares valued at US$116,035, OK Zimbabwe Limited recorded US$14,750 exchanged in 245,838 traded stocks and Dawn Properties Limited recorded US$1,700 exchanged in 102,430 traded stocks. Equally, Edgars stores Limited recorded 93,957 shares valued at US$6,577, and Barclays Bank of Zimbabwe Limited recorded 73,382 shares with a total value of US$3,229.
In terms of market activity/market strength, there were six price gainers and five price loser with three prices that remained unchanged, hence the market strength ended positive. The price gainers were CBZ Holdings Limited closed at US$0.10 after increasing by 11.11 percent, Colcom Holdings Limited increased by 3.89 percent or US$0.0089 to close at US$0.2, ART Corporation Limited which closed at US$0.0057 after gaining by 3.63 percent or US$ 0.0001. Barclays bank of Zimbabwe Limited closed at US$0.0440 after increasing by 0.91 percent or US$ 0.004 and Zimre Holdings Limited which closed at US$0.0111 after gaining by 0.90 percent or US$ 0.001.
The price losers were Dawn Properties Limited which decreased by 4.04 percent or US$0.0007 to close at US$0.0166. Bindura Nickel Corporation Limited decreased by 3.70 percent or US$0.0005 to close at US$0.0130, Innscor Africa Limited decreased by 2.12 percent or US$0.0005 to close at US$0.6068, Delta Corporation Limited decreased by 0.61 percent or US$0.0050 to close at US$0.8100, Econet Wireless Zimbabwe Limited decreased by 0.11 percent or US$0.0003 to close at US$0.2697.
The Mining index was down 1.66 percent to close at 23.57 points today. Bindura Nickel Corporation Limited traded at US$0.0130 down by 0.05 points or 3.70 percent, Hwange Colliery Company Limited and RioZim Limited maintained previous price levels at US$0.0340 and US$0.1200 respectively. Falcon Gold Limited also remained steady at US$0.0050.
